Masicorp Returns to the British High Commission

Our thanks to the British High Commission in Cape Town for hosting Masicorp last night at their residence in Bishopscourt. The evening was an opportunity for us to present the work that is being undertaken in the community to our guests and supporters.

Guests were welcomed to the event by “The Palm Stringlets” – the Masiphumelele violinists based at our Chasmay Road campus who are developing a reputation by performing at weddings and other events around the city.

We were welcomed to the venue by Edward Roman, who was appointed Consul General in Cape Town in August 2015. Having previously been invited to present our work here two years ago it was wonderful to be welcomed back so warmly to the beautiful surroundings.

The main part of the evening was down to the community staff and project beneficiaries that make our projects run smoothly on a daily basis. Penny Ramahloko led the presentation and started by highlighting some of Masicorp’s operating metrics.

Each of our programmes – from ECD through to adult education – had the chance to briefly present their work and highlight recent achievements. Our thanks to all of our guests for their attendance and the huge interest expressed in all aspects of our work after the presentations.

Of course, much more remains to be done and an important part of the evening was a discussion of future projects. One of the biggest projects discussed was the new developments at Chasmay Educare – the ECD centre on our Chasmay Road campus. Our aim is to refurbish this centre to the same high standard that has been achieved at Masi Educare.

Masicorp would like to thank everyone that attended the event and look forward to being able to bring further good news about all of our projects in the future. If you would like to help us to deliver our educational projects in the community our funding priorities for the coming year are as follows:
